A collection of juxtaposition images capturing the natural beauty of Phuket entwined with ruin from the uncontrollable forces of nature and human presence. During a recent visit to the Nai Yang Beach area in Phuket, I experienced an uneasy and conflicting connection to my surrounding environment. The natural beauty of the landscape and the vibrant personality of the people, wondrous and elegant. An ugly and damaged landscape caused by the forces of natures Tsunami, the battle for occupation of land, and the conflicting elements from the footprint of tourism. These images open our conscience to the dilemma faced around the world of survival, conservation, growth and sustainability.
